Barbara Luetke recently retired after 10 years as the Outreach & Literacy Coordinator at the Northwest School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children and decades more in the field. Her latest book is an historical novel, The Kendal Sparrow about Elizabeth Fletcher, an early Quaker teacher & activist in an century that did not empower 15-year old females to speak in public, especially as equal with male preachers.
