Susan Cozzens has a long pedigree of working for social change through public policy research and advocacy. Her Ph.D. in Sociology is a tool that she has compassionately, fruitfully, and faithfully wielded with the National Science Foundation, as professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, at the Illinois Institute of Technology, as chair of the School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech, and currently with Quaker Voice on Washington Public Policy, and in association with Friends Committee on National Legislation, Faith Action Network (Washington), and the Quaker Action – Mid Atlantic Region. Inequalities have been a long-time centerpiece of her studies, but they are only one part of her energetic work to improve our world.
Past/present religious/spiritual influences: Presbyterian, Quaker
